The Green Performance Pledge Drives Collaboration

Our tenants play an important role in realising our SD 2030 Strategy. For more than 50 years, Swire Properties has been living and breathing responsible development. The Company aims to be the leading sustainable development performer in the real estate industry globally by 2030, and has developed its proprietary SD 2030 Strategy to fulfil this vision. We aim to have 50% of our office tenants – in Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland – sign the GPP by 2025*.

*Measured by occupied lettable floor area (“LFA”) of office portfolios at 100% basis comprising of Taikoo Place and Pacific Place in Hong Kong and Taikoo Hui Guangzhou.

We were the first real estate developer in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland to set 1.5°C-aligned Science-Based Targets (SBTs), paving the way to net-zero emissions by 2050. 

Our SBTs cover landlord operations as well as embodied carbon from development activities and tenants’ electricity consumption. To reduce carbon intensity from tenanted area by 28% per sqm by 2030^#, we are working closely with tenants to support their decarbonisation goals as well.
