GPP Academy Q2 2026

Regulators are tightening. Investors are scrutinising. Employees and customers are asking harder questions. How confident are you that your sustainability messages would stand up to real scrutiny?

This was the question put to tenants at the recent GPP Academy Workshop - Anti-Greenwashing and Authentic ESG Communications.

The Stakes of ESG Communication

Greenwashing carries serious consequences, ranging from regulatory fines in the hundreds of millions and advertising bans, to lasting damage to brand reputation and investor trust. But saying nothing also carries risk.

Addressing this challenge demands more than careful wording. Greenwashing happens when actions, data and communications fall out of alignment and closing that gap requires a shift in mindset, culture and process. This session gave participants the tools and frameworks to lead that shift with confidence.

Led by a team of specialists from Sedgwick Richardson, Asia's Brand and Sustainability Consultancy, the interactive session provided practical tips to 45 participants from 16 GPP tenant companies to:

  • Spot the various forms of greenwashing in professional communications
  • Test their understanding through real-world case studies
  • Audit and strengthen their ESG claims using practical frameworks
  • Explore how leadership can drive meaningful communication and execution
  • Exchange forward-thinking ideas with peers and walk away with concrete anti-greenwashing measures to apply immediately

Key Takeaways and Impact

The workshop was successful and received positive feedback from attendees:

  • 100% of attendees said they would recommend future GPP Academy workshops to colleagues.
  • Over 90% of participants shared that the session significantly enhanced their understanding of the subject.

Quite a few attendees noted they intend to share these learnings with their wider teams to rethink their marketing approaches and ensure their sustainability narratives remain authentic and defensible. To support this, all participants received the TRUTH Framework and Anti-Greenwashing Checklist developed by Sedgwick Richardson, to apply to their future communications.
